Basic beginners' folk music

workshops being offered

FRANKFORT SPRINGS, Pa. - The Frankfort Springs Grange 1989 will host workshops on learning to play folk instruments, beginning with a mountain dulcimer workshop from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 10 at the grange hall located on 1476 state Route 18.

A hammered dulcimer workshop will be held April 14, an autoharp workshop on May 5 and a folk guitar workshop June 2. These workshops are intended for basic beginners. All lesson material and music will be provided. Several instruments will be available for loan for those wanting to learn but who do not have instruments. The cost is $20 per workshop. Church offering pierogis, cabbage rolls

WHEELING - The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Church is taking orders for pierogi and cabbage rolls until Wednesday.

Orders may be picked up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15 and 22, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. March 16 and 23 or from 10:30 a.m. to noon March 17 and 24. Library to show Bond film

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will be showing the James Bond film, "Skyfall," rated PG-13, at 5:30 p.m. March 14.
