Marland Heights Church to
hold family fun night March 15
WEIRTON - Marland Heights Community Church will host a family fun night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 15 at the church located at 3900 Bright Way.
The event will include games for children and adults, hot dogs, popcorn and beverages. There is no cost.
Relay kick-off dinner set
WELLSBURG - The Brooke-Hancock Relay for Life Committee will hold a kickoff dinner for the annual event at 6 p.m. March 19 at the Wellsburg Banquet Hall, formerly known as the Wellsburg Fire Hall at 12th and Yankee streets.
The free event offers potential participants a chance to learn more about the fundraiser, which will be held June 1-2 at Brooke High School. Attendees are asked to bring a canned good to be used to weigh luminaria lit around the athletic track in honor or memory of loved ones who have battled cancer.
The food will be donated to local families in need following the event.
Those planning to attend are asked to make reservations by calling (304) 737-3748 no later than Tuesday.
Church holding Easter sunrise service
WEIRTON - Marland Heights Community Church invites the community to attend Easter sunrise services at 7 a.m. March 31 at the church located at 3900 Bright Way.
A continental breakfast will follow. Sunday school will be held at 9 a.m., a worship service at 10 a.m. and communion at 11 a.m.
