Plant employees meet monthly

WEIRTON - The Weirton Steel Basic Oxygen Plant employees' breakfast is held at 9 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Three Springs Drive Eat'n Park. Everyone is welcome.

Davis eyes pediatric compounding

WEIRTON - Jeff Davis, pharmacist candidate and Tri-State Pharmacy intern, will be distributing information on pediatric compounding from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the pharmacy located at 651 Colliers Way.

He will answer questions about prescription custom compounding options for children with Gastroesophageal reflux disease and autism and how to increase medication compliance for children.

All those visiting will be entered into a gift basket drawing.

McCartney to perform at Arbor

NEW CUMBERLAND - City native Dale McCartney will perform classic country music at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Coffeehouse at the Arbor located at 208 S. Chester St., one block south of the traffic light.

There is no cover charge, but donations are accepted. Parking is free. Children are welcome with accompanying adults.

Food will be available for purchase, and a drawing and 50/50 drawing will be held. Proceeds benefit the Arbor and its community outreach after-school programs. For information or directions, call (304) 564-4411 or (304) 794-8275 or email songbirdwv@frontier. com.

Workshop date corrected

FINLEYVILLE, Pa. - Tri-State Area Master Gardeners and Trax Farms will hold an all-day workshop March 16 at Trax, located at 538 Trax Road. This is the corrected date; incorrect information was provided previously.

The morning sessions will be dedicated to gardening topics, and those attending will make a living terrarium during the afternoon session.

The cost is $15 for the morning sessions, $25 for the afternoon session or $35 for both sessions, a discounted prize only available to those who pre-register. The cost of both sessions is $40 at the door.
