Parish to hold joint service

WEIRTON - The Weirton United Methodist Parish, including the Christ United Methodist, First United Methodist and Pleasant Valley United Methodist churches, will hold a joint worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Christ United Methodist Church located at 3598 Pennsylvania Ave.

Library hosting grant-seeker workshop

WEIRTON - The Mary H. Weir Public Library will host a grant-seeker resources online workshop at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the library's activity room.

The workshop will explore features of, a free Foundation Center website that enables grant-seekers to develop fundraising, grant-seeking and nonprofit management skills; view webinars; listen to podcasts; find statistical information; search for specialized foundations and nonprofits; and find nonprofit and philanthropic job listings.

If time permits, other free grant-seeking websites will be discussed.

Easter story hour set

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will be holding an "Easter Fun" evening storytime with Kim Harless at 5:30 p.m. March 21.

Oak Glen presents 'Littlest Angel'

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Oak Glen Middle School Culture Club Players will present a musical adaptation of "The Littlest Angel," by Charles Tazewell, at 7 p.m. March 21-22 at the middle school located at 195 Golden Bear Drive.

Preschool holding open house

ELDERSVILLE, Pa. - The Westminster Community Preschool will hold an open house from noon to 2 p.m. March 22 at the preschool located in the Eldersville United Methodist Church on Church Street.

The school will accept registrations for the 3-, 4- and 5-year-old classes for the 2013-2014 academic year. To be eligible, a child must be 3 by Sept. 1.

The preschool's goal is to provide mental, emotional, creative, social and physical growth through individual and group experiences.
