NEW CUMBERLAND - Hancock County Museum representatives participated in "150 Years: Celebrating West Virginia," a three-day conference presented by the West Virginia Association of Museums at Wheeling's Independence Hall, the state's first capitol.
The conference included several seminars on preserving the state's history. Museum representatives shared their success with "Children's Play Day at the Museum" and offered tips on re-creating the program at other locations. They also demonstrated children's games and activities from the 1800s.
