Trinity to host symposium

STEUBENVILLE - Dr. Nicholas Economides, vice president, medical affairs and Patricia Khalil, M.D., chair, continuing medical education committee at Trinity Health System, announce Trinity Health System and University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences are sponsoring an upcoming symposium series.

The program is designed for physicians, medical oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, pathologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and oncology nurses involved in the treatment, care and management of patients with lung cancer.

The medical education symposium series: focus on lung cancer includes the following topics of interest: Imaging of Lung Nodules, W. Hunter Vaughan, M.D., medical director, Trinity Health System; When Physicians Deal With Cancer, Jeff Morris, M.D., physician coach, Hudson, Ohio; Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy and Staging Guidelines for Lung Cancer, Athanasios Colonias, M.D., Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh; Molecular Profiling of Lung Cancer, Daniel Petro, M.D., UPMC Cancer Center, Pittsburgh; and Surgical Options for Lung Cancer, Rodney Landreneau, M.D., cardio-thoracic surgeon, Pittsburgh.

This activity has been approved for AMA PRA category 1 credits, according to hospital officials.
