SIUDAK, Joseph J. Jr., 79, of Follansbee, WV, passed away, with his family by his side, on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA.
Joseph was born on December 23, 1933, in Weirton, WV. He was the son of the late Joseph J. and Martha J. (Godwin) Siudak Sr.
Joseph retired after 40 years from Weirton Steel Corp as a clerk in the finished product warehouse at the Half Moon Addition. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV.
Joseph was a Boy Scout leader. He served in the United States Navy. He was a softball coach for many years. Joseph was a member of the NRA. He was always a fun loving neighbor to help with anything, but most of all, he was the best grandpap ever.
Joseph is survived by his loving and devoted wife, MaryJane (Sabol) Siudak, who were married on June 17, 1961; a cherished daughter, JoAnn (Doug) Shaffer; two adored granddaughters, Haeley and Hanah Shaffer, all of Follansbee, WV; two brothers, Paul (Marge) Siudak of Follansbee, WV and James "Jim" Siudak of Weirton, WV; three sisters, Patricia "Pat" (Basil) Medvitz of North Olmstead, OH, Jean Schneider of Houston, TX, and Beverly (Larry) Allison of New Manchester, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until time of Scriptural Vigil Service at 8:30 p.m. at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main St., Follansbee, WV, (304) 527-1717, where funeral will commence on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 9 a.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1017 Jefferson St., Follansbee, WV, with Msgr. Paul Hudock, presiding.
Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Colliers, WV, with full military honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
