Weir High Classes of '57-'60

holding picnic Aug. 21

WEIRTON - The Weir High School Classes of 1957-1960 will hold a picnic at 5 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Serbian Picnic Grounds.

All those attending are asked to bring a covered dish, plates and cutlery. The group's next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. May 3 at Undo's.

Grant deadline approaching

CHARLESTON - The West Virginia Humanities Council provides programs and more than $600,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations supporting educational programming.

The Humanities Council minigrant deadlines occur every 60 days for projects requesting $1,500 or less, with upcoming deadlines of April 1 and June 1.

Health department has vaccine

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Hancock County Health Department will receive the Zostavax, or shingles, vaccine.
