To the Editor,
On behalf of the Weirton United Way Board of Directors and the 2012 Campaign Committee, we would like to thank each member of our community who played a role in this year's successful campaign.
The economic challenges faced by our residents have never been greater and the role of the Weirton United Way has never been more crucial. We continue to see a tremendous increase in community need for basic services like food, utilities and housing and the familes affected cross all social and economic boundaries.
Along with Kristin Bowman-Cross and Linda Stear, our entire United Way Family remained committed to achieving this year's goal without exception. For each one of you who graciously gave of your time and treasure to this year's campaign, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your contribution, big or small, made certain that those families who are facing economic challenges are not left hungry or in the cold this year.
As we look to next year, we are certain the economic challenges faced by our least fortunate residents will still be present. However, we are also certain that incredible heart of the Weirton community will ensure those families continue to have a safety net of compassion and grace to help them get through challenging times.
Thank you again and God Bless.
John C. Frankovitch,
Executive board president
