Weir High School Class of '15

Parent Group set to meet

WEIRTON - The Parent Group of the Weir High School Class 2015 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the high school cafeteria.

Parents and students will sell Gold Canyon Candles Thursday through April 19. Anyone interested in purchasing a candle can call Debbie Larch at (304) 670-3746 or Patty Rice at (304) 374-1536.

Country Friends holding dance

COLLIERS - The Country Friends will host The Sands of Time Saturday at the Memorial Hall located at 402 Old Police Lodge Road.

The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance starts at 7 p.m.

Country Friends hosts covered-dish dinners and open mic nights every Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meal begins at 5 p.m., and open mic begins at 6 p.m.

Church celebrating anniversary

WEIRTON - The Marland Heights Community Church will celebrate their 10th anniversary at the 10 a.m. April 21 worship service at the church located at 3900 Bright Way.

A luncheon will immediately follow the service. The congregation welcomes the public to attend and help celebrate the anniversary.

Bonar to hold signing

PARIS, Pa. - The Paris Presbyterian Church will host author Mary Jean Bonar for a book signing at noon May 1 at the church located at 127 Steubenville Pike.

Bonar is the author of "Look to The Hills" and "Blessed Abundantly." She will discuss her faith journey and her books. Snacks and soup will be available. The church has a coffee shop open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
