The court signed orders sealing documents associated with these search warrants. The grand jury is scheduled to begin hearing evidence on April 30th.

Update:

Several buildings within the Steubenville City Schools District were within the jurisdiction of the search warrant order which was executed at approximately 2:30 p.m. today.

The school board offices was the site of one investigation along with fieldhouse at Harding Stadium and Steubenville High School.

Agents were seen carrying bags of potential evidence from Steubenville High School.

A special grand jury is expected to hear about 10 days of evidence beginning on April 30 as to whether any laws were violated by persons surrounding the rape case involving two Steubenville High School student-athletes.

The special grand jury was quickly seated April 15 after questioning by visiting retired Summit County judge Patricia Ann Cosgrove in Jefferson County Common Pleas Court. A court official said 86 people showed up as prospective members of the grand jury. The grand jury has 14 members, nine of which will vote on whether any indictments will be returned. Of the nine, six are female and three are male. Four alternates, all males, were selected and will not participate in the voting of any indictments unless any of the nine are unable to remain seated on the panel.

Even during the execution of the search warrants, officials were releasing little information about the scope of the search and the reason why school officials were subjected to the warrant search.

According to its website, Vestige Ltd. in Medina County is a group of "electronic evidence experts providing digital forensics, e-discovery and IT security solutions."

More details of the unfolding investigation will be in Friday's edition.
