Oak Glen Middle School had a Family Math Fun Night April 25, providing students and families the chance to practice their mathematical skills. This year, the school introduced two new academic clubs, offering mathematics enrichment for fifth- and sixth-graders. The clubs meet weekly to prepare for monthly Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools program contests. Each club member worked on preparing math-related activities and games, including "Math Jeopardy," "Math Family Feud," "Deal or No Deal," "Math Bingo," "Parents Versus Students," "Trapeze Duck Shoot," "Fruit Loop Patterns," "How Long Is Your Name?" and "Bull's-Eye Math." The event also served as a fundraiser, and funds collected will go toward year-end awards, shirts and next fall's enrollment costs.
