WEIRTON - The Garden Department of the Weirton Woman's Club, a General Federation of Women's Clubs of West Virginia member organization, held its 12th annual Calendar Luncheon recently at Undo's at the Holiday Inn - Weirton with more than 100 guest in attendance.
Grace Lenhart and Alma Wansack greeted guests, and Teresa McGown led the inspiration.
The doors were opened early, so guests could view the tables, which were decorated with a calendar theme. Members decorating the tables were: January, Sharon Neeley; February, Lea Shirer; March, Molly Mossor; April, Diana Durst; May, Carol Village; June, June Pulice; July, Shirlee Baltich; August, Teresa McGown; September, Sandy Robbins; October, June Pulice and Helen Brancazio; November, Dawn Neeley; December, Patti Nixon; Spring, Diana Durst and Molly Mossor; Summer, Jeanne Amidon and Sue Ann Barrett; and Fall, Sharon Neeley.

A luncheon was served and approximately 40 door prizes were awarded to the guest in attendance. Carol Village donated six birthday umbrella dolls as prizes, and Lois Flemm won the 50/50 drawing.
Victoria Gerst, Brooke High School senior and Madrigal Choir member, provided entertainment, performing an arrangement including "Just Arrived," "Over the Rainbow" and "God Bless America." She is Department Vice Chair Lea Shirer's granddaughter.
Among those attending were Northern District President Jo-Ellen Wright, Weirton Woman's Club President Diane Pastoric, Woman's Club of New Cumberland President Dorothy Hawkes and Follansbee 20th Century Club and Woman's Club of Wheeling members.
Proceeds benefit scholarships and community beautification. Sharon Neeley is department chair.
