WEIRTON - The Weir High School Parent Group of 2015 will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the high school cafeteria.

WEIRTON - The Weir High School Soccer Boosters will hold their May meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school cafeteria.
All parents of current and incoming Weir High soccer players are invited to attend.
CEOS offer craft class
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Community Educational Outreach Service will hold a craft class, featuring no-tie fleece blankets, at the Brooke County Public Library at 1 p.m. May 10.
Participants should bring a yard each of fleece in two colors and a pair of sharp scissors to make two baby blankets or a lap blanket. All other materials will be supplied.

Elks holding golf scramble
WEIRTON - The Weirton Elks Lodge 1801 will hold its four-man golf scramble with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. May 11 at Mountaineer Woodview Golf Course.
Registration will be accepted at the Elks Lodge until time of the event.
The cost is $18 for members of Woodview Golf Course and $40 for non-members, payable at Woodview the day of the scramble. Prizes will be determined by the number of participants. Food and beverages will be provided at the Elks Lodge after the scramble.

Mended Hearts will meet
WHEELING - The Greater Wheeling Area Chapter 280 of The Mended Hearts Inc. will meet at 6 p.m. May 13 at Perkin's Restaurant.

School retirees to meet
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Retired School Employees will meet May 14 at Wellsburg Christian Church.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Reservations should be made by calling Dottie Cooper, (740) 266-4904 or (304) 670-1021 by Tuesday.
A memorial service will be conducted by Karen and Dick Pannett. Members are asked to bring items for the Brooke County Animal Shelter.
All members are encouraged to attend. Those who bring a friend will receive a free ticket for the door prize drawing.
Lions eye fundraiser
NEW CUMBERLAND - The New Cumberland Lions Club is gearing up for its pulled pork fundraiser sales, with the first sale being held May 24-25.
Sales will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 22, July 20, Aug. 24 and Oct. 19 at the Swaney Memorial Library. The club also will hold the fundraiser during the New Cumberland Riverfest Sept. 28-29 on River Avenue.

WHEELING - Elder Darrell Shumpert of Elyria, Ohio, will be the guest speaker at Bethlehem Apostolic Temple's pastor's aide service at 6 p.m. May 26 at the church located at 330 N. Main St.
