FBI works on local tip for remains

WINDSOR HEIGHTS - The FBI, Marshall County Search and Rescue Team and Windsor Heights Police were involved in a search of the backyard of a home at the intersection of Francis Avenue and Sarko Street Tuesday morning.

Village Police Chief Ulrich Utt said the search came following a tip that human remains were buried in the yard and two items dug from the yard were sent for testing.

But he said neither item, before testing, helped to confirm or dispute the tip.

Utt said owners of the home, whose names he didn't release, cooperated with the search, which involved K-9 units.

He said he couldn't say whether an arrest will be made.
