PERKINS, William Thomas (Tom) II, 57, of Burgettstown, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short illness at the Weirton Medical Center on Friday, May 10, 2013.
Tom was an avid Steelers fan and car racing enthusiast. He enjoyed life and was willing to help anyone in need and was instrumental in organizing the Dave Hook Memorial Fund.
He was employed at UBS Axcera in Canonsburg, PA, as an assembly technician for the past eight years.
Tom is survived by his parents, William Thomas and Wanda Lee (Thompson) Perkins. Also surviving are three sisters: Linda (Perkins) Daniels of Lyons, CO; Rachel Perkins and Holly (Perkins) DiVecchio, both of Burgettstown, PA; one brother, Daniel Perkins of Macungie, PA; 10 nieces and nephews and one great-niece and great-nephew.
Visitation will be at the Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, on Monday, May 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at the funeral home at noon. Burial will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Burgettstown, PA.
A repast luncheon will follow at the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Department, Paris, Pa.
