Weirton Daily Times
Brooke High graduate Raleigh Mason, flanked by his parents Raleigh and Cindy Leigh Mason, will continue his academic and athletic careers at West Virginia State, where he will major in physical education and be a member of the football team. A two-year starter at linebacker, Mason was injured on the third play of the first game of the season and came back to play the final three games, where he averaged over 100 yards and one touchdown per game from his running back position. He has been selected for the West Virginia North-South and OVAC All-Star football games over the summer. Also on hand for the signing were football coach Sean Blumette and principal Toni Shute.
