Arland L.Lamp

LAMP, Arland Leroy (Hoop), 77, of Weirton, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Weirton Medical Center.

He was born on July 12, 1935 in Bens Run, WV, the son of the late Elsie Barnhart and Tyndall Lamp.

Arland was self employed as a contractor. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard of Ohio, and a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Weirton. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great- grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Lamp whom he married in Weirton on January 27, 1961; daughter, Lori (Ryan) Six; sons, Mark (Lorie) Lamp and Bruce (Jessica) Lamp; brother, Gary Lamp; and one sister, Mary Lou Butler. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Matt, Angela, Meghan, Mellissa, Jordan, Adam and Logan, and one great-grandson, Brantley.

Visitation will be held at the Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton on Monday, June 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with additional viewing on Tuesday, June 4 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral and committal service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Larry Barkley officiating.

Donations may be made in memory of Arland to Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, 4401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
