WEIRTON - The Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center will hold a "Rediscover Holliday's Cove" contest leading up to an event celebrating the settlement in what is now downtown Weirton Aug. 10 at the Weirton Event Center located at the former Cove School site on Cove Road.
Participating businesses will have different letters from the words "Holliday's Cove," and those who can collect the entire set of letters before the Aug. 10 event will be entered into a prize drawing.
The event will include the unveiling of the Cove School Commemorative Marker, burying of a time capsule, a treasure hunt and two live musical performances.

Those who taught at or attended Cove School will be acknowledged and are encouraged to attend.
Historical photos of Holliday's Cove will be on display, and those who may have such photos are asked to contact the museum to have the photos scanned and added to the museum's collection.
Anyone who has an item they would like to have placed in the time capsule also are asked to contact the museum.
