Courthouse steps to be reset

June 17, 2013
Weirton Daily Times
Workers with James White Construction, of Weirton, use a 28-ton crane to hoist some stone steps outside the Hancock County Courthouse on Friday. About 17 of the steps, which lead from the bottom of Station Hill to the courthouse, will be removed and reset. The project also includes pouring new top steps and repairing the railing, New Cumberland Mayor Richard Blackwell said. The steps were closed in June 2012, along with the Station Hill sidewalk, out of concern for pedestrian safety. -- Stephen Huba
