First United Methodist will

hold vacation Bible school

WEIRTON - The First United Methodist Church will hold a vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through June 27 at the church located at 3301 West St.

The theme is "God's Backyard Bible Camp." All are welcome.

Diabetes class announced

WEIRTON - A free diabetes class will be held at 3 p.m. June 24 at the Weirton Medical Center's Starvaggi Room.

Anyone with diabetes or those interested in learning more about the condition is welcome to attend. Make a reservation by calling the Tri-State Pharmacy at (304) 723-6331.

Weirton Heights holding VBS

WEIRTON - The Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church will hold a vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through June 27 at the church located at 121 Ivy St. The theme is "Armor of God." All are welcome. For information, contact the church at (304) 723-2571.

Identity Project eyes restoration

WEIRTON - The Catholic Identity Project will present its 2013 conference, "Life, Liturgy and Libertas: The Keys to Catholic Restoration" Sept. 20-22 at the Serbian-American Cultural Center located at 1000 Colliers Way.

Michael Voris, Michael J. Matt, Dr. John Rao, John Vennari, James Vogel, Christopher Ferrara and John-Henry Westen will be speakers. The event will include seminars, lectures and daily Latin Masses.

Christopher Schulte of the Knights of Columbus will give the dinner presentation Sept. 21, followed by Chaplain the Rev. Gregory Pendergraft.
