Weirton Daily Times
The All Saints Greek Orthodox Church’s Philoptochos, its charitable foundation, and its fraternal organizations presented $1,000 to the Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center to fund a display case showcasing the history of the area’s Greek community. All Saints parish history dates back to 1915 when the growing Greek immigrant community first discussed building a church in Weirton. Those attending the presentation were, from left, Nick Latousakis, Parish Council president; the Rev. Frank A. Milanese, parish priest; Paul Zuros, museum treasurer; Dennis Jones, museum president; Debbie Karnoupakis, Philoptochos president; Ellen Nicholas, Daughters of Penelope president; and George Adams, American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association President. -- Contributed
