SALEM, W.Va. (AP) - Salem International University has regained provisional state approval of its associate of science in nursing program.
The Exponent Telegram reports that the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses has approved continuing the program's provisional accreditation.
Friday's decision reverses the board's decision in June to withdraw provisional accreditation.
Salem contended that the earlier decision stemmed from a misunderstanding.
Salem President John Luotto says university officials are pleased with the board's latest decision.
