open for holiday
The Bergholz Area Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday before the parade in Bergholz and again on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The museum is typically open the first Sunday of each month, May through November.
New this month are pictures and a history of the Nesbit Drug Store which was in operation from the late 1800s until 1932. Also newly available this month are additional items featuring the towns of Bergholz, Amsterdam and the former Bergholz, Amsterdam and Springfield schools.
There also is the Morgan Raid display. The museum's permanent collection includes pictures and memorabilia related to area communities, the schools, local mines and various businesses.
The museum is located at the corner of Second and Jefferson streets across from the town parking lot. Admission is free.
The New Beginners Women's Circle of the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church located at 113 High St., Bloomingdale, will be hosting the church's annual pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday in the church's lower level banquet hall.
First Baptist won't have July dinner
The First Baptist Church of Steubenville's free monthly dinner open to the public will not be held in July because it falls during the holiday weekend. The next dinner will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 4.
Men of Destiny
Men of Destiny of the House of Faith located at 1913 Estelle Ave., Steubenville, will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday.
"Come and see how we can better our relationship with Christ, witness to others, help our neighbors, improve our community, build bonds of friendship with men inside and outside of our church with Christian fellowship," said Ron Boyuk, president.

Center won't host
dinner in July
The East Springfield Community Center will not host a July fundraiser dinner because of the July 4 holiday.
