Weirton Daily Times

The Ohio County Public Library has announced several upcoming events, including:

Children will learn about healthy eating by using fruits and vegetables to create their own "salad person."

Featured reading: "Rah, Rah, Radishes" by April Pulley Sayre.

Amber is fossilized tree resin. Because it originates as a soft, sticky tree resin, amber sometimes contains animal and plant material as inclusions.

Participants will make a soap version of amber with some mini bugs trapped inside and read "Fossils Tell of Long Ago" by Aliki.

Meet Mark the ventriloquist and his Head Engineer in Charge of Digging, Edgar Beaver. Edgar is in search of the secret library buried somewhere in the vicinity, and he's not going to stop digging until he finds the treasure.
