Gregory A. ‘Moe’ Bevilacqua

BEVILACQUA, Gregory A. "Moe" Jr. 78, of Steubenville, died Friday, July 26, 2013, at Trinity West ER.

He was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Steubenville.

He is the son of the late Gregory A. Bevilacqua Sr. and Carmella Tufano Bevilacqua. Gregory is also preceded in death by two brothers Patsy and Louis "Sonny" Bevilacqua and two sisters Rose Snider and Mary Brady.

Gregory was retired from Weirton Steel Tin Mill Dept. and was an Army Veteran. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, also the American Legion Post 33. He was a Catholic Central High School graduate of 1954.

Surviving are one sister Carol Lash of Steubenville, one Brother James (Audrey) Bevilacqua of North Carolina. Many nieces and nephews including Gregory Lash, Wallace (Jennifer) Lash and Carole (Daniel) Bell. Also, great nephews Matthew Bell and Brian James Lash and great nieces Shane Lash and Jordan Moody.

Gregory was an avid fan of Catholic Central High School baseball and football.

Calling Hours are Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 9:30 am Holy Family Catholic Church. Msgr. Gerald Calovini celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

There will be a vigil service at 3:45pm.
