Never Alone West Virginia will hold the fourth annual rally at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Weirton Event Center.
The organization will have bulletin boards at the entrances, encouraging everyone to sign their names, supporting a drug-free community.
Judge Dwayne Woodruff, a former Pittsburgh Steeler and founding partner of a law firm, will speak. Woodruff is chair of "Do the Write Thing," a program encouraging middle school students to examine how violence impacts their lives through writing.
Joey Delsardo, a former University of Pittsburgh football player, will speak about his addiction. Delsardo has been sober for five years and speaks at high schools and sporting events.
The event will include performers, face-painting, basket drawing, food and vendors, balloon art, 50/50 drawings, dance, a moment of silence for those lost, a balloon launch and candlelight vigil walk.
Never Alone values the chamber relationship, which allows the group to become familiar with the community and business partners.
Vendors are sought for the event. Those interested can contact Patti Barnabei at (304) 797-1579. The group accepts donations at Never Alone, P.O. Box 2896, Weirton, WV 26062.
