CANONSBURG, Pa. - Peacock Keller will sponsor its 6th annual "Off the Shelf: Celebration of Books" charity event from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe.

The theme is travel, and Keith Bellows, National Geographic Traveler editor-in-chief, will be the speaker.

Each table at the fundraiser will choose a book about travel and decorate their table accordingly as part of a contest. Table decorating will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a panel of judges evaluating each table. Participants can support their favorite tables by donating to the People's Choice Award.

Chinese and live auctions will be held. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., dinner follows at 7 p.m., and Bellows will speak at 8 p.m.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and auction items are sought. Individual tickets can be purchased for $75 or tables of eight can be purchased for $600. Corporate tables can be purchased for $1,000.

The event benefits Washington and Greene county libraries.
