KIMMEL, Clara C., born July 2, 1919, in Cadiz Junction, OH, passed peacefully with her family by her side on August 28, 2013, in Tucson, Arizona, where she lived for the last three years.
She married Clarence C. Kimmel in 1946 and is survived by her husband; daughter, Charlotte M. Kimmel, PHD (Andy Griffin, PHD) of Mexia, Texas; son, Philip W. (Luz); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Clara was a member of Wintersville Baptist Temple. She was a Sunday School teacher, homemaker, a wonderful mother, and wife.
She served in the army in WWII and was in London for D-Day and Paris after liberation.
She grew up in Cadiz Junction and loved to tell stories from there including being run over by a train at six years-old.
Friends may call at Wintersville Baptist Temple on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. John Beard officiating.
Interment will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
