September 4, 2013
Weirton Daily Times
A tanker truck gets towed Tuesday after breaking down on a section of state Route 2 in New Cumberland. The truck, belonging to Santmyer Oil Company Inc., of Wooster, Ohio, was southbound through town and broke down at the bottom of Station Hill. It was towed by Nick’s Auto Sales, of Weirton. City officials said the driver may have damaged the drive shaft while shifting. Mayor Linda McNeil said the breakdown highlights the continuing need for better truck traffic flow through town. -- Contributed
