WEIRTON - The Brooke volleyball team swept Weir 25-22, 25-21, 25-9 Monday.
Angela Staffileno led the Bruins with 17 blocks, 14 kills, seven points, and three aces with Emily Stuck adding 31 assists, nine points, seven blocks and six kills. Courtney Elliott had 13 points, nine digs and two aces while Kourtney Leonard (seven kills, six blocks, three points), Isabella Preston (five kills, four points, four digs), Abbey Adams (five points, two kills), Alexa Girard (six blocks, four kills), and Jentzen Kowcheck (four digs) all contributed as well.
Kim Persina played strong for the Red Riders with 15 points, eight blocks and two kills while Samantha McCartney had 20 sets and six points and Ontasia Petteway had 11 points and two digs. Morgan Goff added 10 digs and two points, Selena Wolverton six points and six digs, Megan Longwell eight sets, Michayla Dobosz seven points and Elizabeth Kush five points.

Both teams take to the court today with the Bruins hosting Wheeling Park and the Red Riders traveling to St. Clairsville.
Knights top Bishop Donahue
McMECHEN - The Toronto volleyball team raised its record to 4-5 with a 25-19, 18-25, 27-25, 25-14 win at Bishop Donahue on Monday.
"I am incredibly proud of these ladies," said Red Knights head coach Chelsey Fletcher. "They came back from some rough games last week with poise and humble confidence. At all points these ladies were coachable and strategic. Our setters are moving the ball around and letting the hitters hit with authority."
Katie Spadafora totaled 13 points, 12 kills, three blocks and two assists, while Chelsea Anderson had 16 points and five kills. Amber Fuller delivered 27 points, 13 assists and four digs.
Emily Anderson had 15 points and seven digs, Josey Jones 13 points, five kills and five digs, Miranda Robinson 12 points, 10 assists, seven digs and seven kills, Mykia West five kills and Emily Kosikowski two points.
"I may be most impressed with adjusting to the loudest crowd we have faced and some different equipment," said Fletcher.
The Red Knights open the new gym in the new school today with a 5:30 p.m. match with Shadyside.
Royals win first two
WINTERSVILLE - The Jefferson County Christian School volleyball team won its first two matches of the year with wins over the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (25-15, 25-19, 20-25, 25-15) Monday and Seeds of Faith (25-18, 23-25, 26-24, 25-18) Saturday at the Ryan Activity Center.
Senior Liz Wendt led the way Monday with 24 points, four aces and three blocks. Senior Kassie Lucas added seven points, four aces, three kills and 12 assists, while senior Breona Brown had three aces, five blocks and nine kills and Sara Moro four kills and seven assists.
Wendt and sophomore Alayna Pugh had 13 points in the Saturday victory. Lucas added 11 points, 13 assists and five kills, Brown five blocks and 10 kills and Moro seven assists.
Bruins blast Monarchs
WELLSBURG - The Brooke girls soccer team dismantled John Marshall 12-0 Monday.
Leila Hannoui led the way with three goals and an assist with With Cheyenne Hudson adding a goal and four assists, Michaela Hinerman adding two goals and an assist and Shleby Cronin scoring a goal and dishing a pair of assists. Lauren Altobell, MeKenzie DeFranco, Dynah Sayre, Payge Farmer and Erin Conaway each scored a goal as well. Emily Bernardini had an assist. Farmer (one save) and Andrea Jenkins (one save) combined in net for the shutout.
John Marshal goalie Asya Carney had three saves.
Brooke (6-2) hosts Morgantown today at 5:30 p.m.
Toronto outshoots Weir
TORONTO - The Toronto golf team defeated Weir 195-212 Monday at Dyer Country Club.
Parker Wright and Riley Keirsey shared top honors with each shooting a 46 on the day. Caden Kelly shot 49 and Noah Smith added a 54.
Tyler Warrick shot 50 to lead the Red Riders. Austin Paul-Orecchio shot 52, Joe Patterson shot 60, and Eric Winwood shot 60.
Brooke wins tri-match
EAST SPRINGFIELD - The Brooke golf team shot 172 to defeat Edison (194) and Buckeye Local (209) Monday at Spring Hills Golf Course.
Logan Lojszczyk shot 38 for the Bruins to earn medalist honors. Noah Teaff shot 39, Michael Petrosky 47 and Trey Gilham 48.
Jimmy Marsh's 42 led the Wildcats. Ben Boyd and Shane Pendleton each shot 49 and Clay Woodward shot a 54.
Eric Williams topped the Pantehrs scoring with a 49. Brendan Czuchran shot 50 with Dan Dill and Josh Faldowski each shooting 55.
