The program year began Tuesday with a trip to the Challenger Learning Center on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University for a series of teamwork exercises.

As part of the day, students learned to work together through simulated missions and other activities. A rocket launch contest was held, as well, with the winning team recognized.

Other sessions set for the program will provide opportunities for the students to learn more about themselves, how to plan for the future and how to facilitate disputes.

Sessions include: Integrity on Oct. 15, Passion on Nov. 19, Vision on Jan. 21, and the Simulated Society exercise on Feb. 18.

All remaining programs will take place at the Christ United Methodist Church in Weirton.

The program will conclude with a graduation dinner in April.
