First Presbyterian Church set

to hold fall festival Saturday

NEW CUMBERLAND - The First Presbyterian Church of New Cumberland will hold a fall festival from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday at the church located at 202 Court St.

The festival offers free admission and food, drawings and vendors, including Dove Chocolates, Gold Canyon Candles, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware and Wickless Candles. Children's activities include pumpkin-painting, face-painting, corn hole and a bounce house.

Taste of the Valley to be held

WEIRTON - The Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau will hold its annual Business Showcase/A Taste of the Valley from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Serbian American Cultural Center.

Admission is $10 for the event, which will feature area businesses selling a variety of goods and restaurants offering samples of their food.

Class of 1959 to meet Tuesday

WEIRTON - The Weir High School Class of 1959 will hold the monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Three Spring Drive Eat'n Park.

All classmates are invited to attend.

Crocheting group welcomes members

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library's crocheting group will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The group is for adult beginners through experts. Bring your own supplies and projects. If you need help, someone will be available to assist or instruct you.

Halloween story hour set

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will hold a "Trick or Treat - Read!" evening storytime with Kim Harless at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Shriners holding pancake breakfast

WEIRTON - The Northern Panhandle Shrine Club will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Oct. 19 at the Shrine Club, located on Cove Road, near the State Highway Garage. The menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under and free for children 5 and under.

Library to hold cooking class

WELLSBURG - Nora Bell will present a cooking class on harvest foods at 11 a.m. Oct. 19.

Knights to hold pasta dinner

FOLLANSBEE - The St. Anthony Catholic Church Knights of Columbus will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at St. Francis Center, 805 Lee Road.

The cost is $8 for adults and children 7 and up, with children under 7 admitted free.

Our Lady holding blood drive

Class of 2003 holding reunion

CHESTER - The Oak Glen High School Class of 2003 will hold the 10-year reunion from 6 p.m. to midnight Nov. 30 at the American Legion.

The event will include a dinner and cash bar.

Boosters holding night at races

WEIRTON - Weir High School Cheering Boosters will hold a night at the races from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Victorian Hall located at 1801 Pennsylvania Ave.

The races begin at 7 p.m. It is a 21-and-older event. It will include drawings and a 50/50.

Horse tickets are $30 each, and include a horse, admission, food and drinks. Admission tickets are $20 each, and includes admission, food and drinks. Sponsorships are $100 and include two admission tickets, program advertising, social media mention and event announcement.
