Weirton Daily Times
Weirton Madonna High School and Steubenville Catholic Central High School will hold a fundraising challenge to see which school can collect the greatest amount of donations during their Oct. 26 football game at Jimmy Carey Stadium. Assisting in the planning are, from left, Madonna Principal Steve Grasser, Madonna Director of Advancement Jennifer Parker, and Central Principal Rich Wilinski. Alumni will be stationed near the entrance gate to collect the funds, and donations for the competition will be accepted at the game only. The money will be counted before halftime, and the school who has collected the most funds by that time will be announced during the halftime show. Funds will continue to be collected through the third quarter, at which time fundraising will end and totals will be tallied. The final results will be announced during the fourth quarter. All funds will benefit each school’s respective annual fund. -- Contributed
