Pleasant Valley United Methodist to hold prayer hour

WEIRTON - The Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church will hold an open church prayer hour from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church located at 101 Lisa Court.

Country Friends to host Stone Street

COLLIERS - The Country Friends will host The Stone Street Station Saturday at Memorial Hall located at 402 Old Police Lodge Road.

The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance begins at 7 p.m.

Country Friends host covered-dish dinners and open mic nights every Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meal begins at 5 p.m. and open mic begins at 6 p.m.

Country Friends Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Christian friendship and brotherly love through music.

All proceeds go to charity.

The Arbor hosts Family Tradition

NEW CUMBERLAND - Family Tradition, featuring Dale McCartney, will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Coffeehouse at The Arbor located at 208 S. Chester St., one block south of the traffic light.

This is the first concert of the season. Out of the Blue will perform Nov. 16.

A quilt drawing is being held, and concerts include 50/50 drawings.

The kitchen is open and sandwiches are available for purchase.

Children are welcome with accompanying adults. There is no cover charge; donations are accepted.

The Arbor Thrift Store has recently opened at 114 N. Chester St., all proceeds, as well as proceeds from concerts, go toward community outreach and afterschool programs.

Concert parking is free.

Needhams to perform Sunday

WEIRTON - The Needhams will perform at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church located at 121 Ivy St.

The Needhams have toured across the country since 1997.

Class of 2017 parents to meet

WEIRTON - The Weir High School Class of 2017 will hold a parent meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church located at 101 Lisa Court.

Parents are encouraged to attend.

Community Center hosting trip

MIDWAY, Pa. - The Midway Community Center will host a motorcoach trip to the Donny and Marie Christmas Tour performance at Consol Energy Center Dec. 12.

The trip includes dinner at the Grand Concourse Restaurant at One Station Square. The cost is $131.
