Women of the Moose plan event

The Wellsburg Women of the Moose will hold their final quarter auction on Sunday at the Wellsburg Moose Lodge at 844 Main St., Wellsburg.

Doors will open at noon, with the auction to begin at 1 p.m. There also will be food and drinks for sale. Proceeds will benefit Moose-supported charities.

New members for Toronto group

Doris Matyas presided at the Toronto Senior Citizens meeting held Oct. 24 where guests were Linda Ragsdale and Frances Keenan, and new members were Bonnie Vance, Joyce Dye, Glenn and Monica Dornbusch.

Mary Alice Meyer gave the blessing, read devotions and led members in opening exercises.

Culinary demonstrations were given by Kody Myler and Dakota Nalette taught by Angie Angie Allison from the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School.

Reports were given by Joyce Dobbs, Rosemary Bonofine and Mayor John Geddis.

Cathy Grimes won the 50/50. Door prize winners were Dolly Robinson, Ben Cicone, Terry Mamula, Rosemary Bonofine, Arlene Zahniser, Becky Swickard, Joyce Zimmerman, Nancy Stanak, Sharon Carroll and Angie Kurty.

Bingo winners were Sharon Carroll, Patty Rose, Nancy Stanak and Joyce Dobbs.

Scat winners were Dee Fouts, Monica Dornbusch, Paula Krensavage, Sharon Carroll, Joyce Zimmerman, Richard Dobbs, Bill Baier and Glenn Dornbusch.

The next meeting will be held Nov. 14 at the Roosevelt bBuilding.
