Wounded Warrior Project donation

November 11, 2013
Weirton Daily Times
Commander Steve Quinn, left, of the Chester Joint VFW/American Legion Color Guard addresses Oak Glen High School students on Friday after receiving a $1,663 donation for the Wounded Warrior Project. With him are Ernie Grogg, middle, of Chester VFW Post 6450 and Bill Ross of New Cumberland VFW Post 3526. Oak Glen students raised the money by doing a 1-mile walk around the high school track and getting sponsors. The Joint Color Guard led a short ceremony, including a 21-gun salute, prior to Friday’s walk. The Color Guard will be at Chester American Legion Post 121 at 11 a.m. today for a Veterans Day ceremony. -- Stephen Huba
