BROWN, William M., 85, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at his home in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 1 1928, in Colliers, WV, to Harry and Ruth Brown.
William was a devoted husband to Shirley J. Brown and loving father to his children, 18 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Brown, his brother, Harry Brown and his sister, Jean Kotouch.
William is survived by his wife, the former Shirley J. Evans of Weirton, WV; daughters Amber Parsons (William) of Gwinn, MI, Terra Brown of Wichita Falls, TX, Billie Flick (Thomas) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Michele Formica (Richard) of Palm Bay, FL, Susan Zimmerman of Cape Coral, FL, Priscilla Rollins (Walter) of Fort Worth, TX, Kathleen Dimascio of Pittston, PA, Mary Mannella of Melbourne, FL; and his son, Christopher Brown of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
William is also survived by his sisters, Kathryn Gardei and Audrey Bingiel of Colliers, WV, and Harriet Hinchcliffe of Bloomingdale, OH.
William will be remembered as a man with strong morals, impeccable ethics, and a love for God, his family and his country.
After serving in the military and working on the Pennsylvania Railroad, William continued his career working in Cuba with the United Fruit Company.
Returning to the U.S., William worked in the steel industry and retail management before again leaving the country on an offer from the Panama Canal Company in 1962. William retired as manager of the Panama Railroad, a division of the Panama Canal Zone in 1978.
William's wishes were to keep his final arrangements private.
