STEUBENVILLE Rich DeLuca has been selected as the new president of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
The Wintersville resident will assume his new duties Jan. 1, according to John Cucarese, chairman of the chamber board of directors. DeLuca will replace Susan Hershey, who is retiring at the end of the year after serving as president for five years.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson County, DeLuca brings more than 35 years of business and community-related experience to the job including positions with Valley Hospice, Preferred Health Network, Ohio Valley Medical Center.
He has served on many local boards including the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School Board of Education. DeLuca holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio University as well as a master's from Wheeling Jesuit University.
Cucarese said the chamber is looking forward to working with and believes he can continue to build on the growth and development the chamber has experienced under Hershey's leadership.
