WHEELING - The Ohio County Public Library is offering a variety of options for downloading free e-books, audiobooks, movies and music directly from the web in digital form.

The library is a member of West Virginia Deli, a consortium of state libraries that enables patrons to use their library account to download e-books, audiobooks, music and video for e-readers like Kindle or for mp3 players, i-Pads, tablets, smart phones, laptops and various other devices.

To access WVDeli, visit the library's website at www.ohiocountylibrary.org. On the homepage, click on "Downloadable Collection." Then click on "account," select the Ohio County library from the drop down list, and create an account using your library card number.

In addition to WVDeli, the library has recently added a new service called "Freegal," a free music service. Patrons just need a library card number and PIN to start downloading free music. Freegal offers access to about 7 million songs, including Sony Music's catalog. In total, the collection is comprised of music from over 28,000 labels with music that originates in more than 80 countries. There is no software to download, and there are no digital rights management restrictions. Freegal can be accessed on the library's website under "Additional Services."

To establish a PIN or for information about WVDeli, Freegal or other library services, contact the library at (304) 232-0244 or by accessing the "E-mail Us" form available under "Contact" at www.ohiocountylibrary.org.
