CORAOPOLIS, Pa. - Several Burgettstown children visited Coraopolis Towers, an apartment building housing mostly elderly residents, to spread some Christmas cheer Dec. 7.
Emma Gragan, whose grandfather resides at the towers, has been visiting and leading residents in holiday songs and games for several years. She was accompanied by Katie Richter, who assisted last year as a "Holiday Helper," and Storie Cipranic, who participated for the first time.
Gragan, who takes classical voice training, sang four traditional Christmas carols and two Broadway numbers. Following the performance, the children served cake and coffee and distributed Christmas-themed door prizes before leading the residents in a carol singalong.
