Four Seasons hold

The Four Seasons Senior Citizens Association held its meeting and Christmas party on Dec. 11 at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton with President Norma Yoho presiding.

After the opening prayer, members joined in opening exercises.

Following dinner, members were entertained by the Donahues.

Yoho announced that Marge Trinone was the new membership chairperson.

Tom Barbara won the free dinner.

Jane Barney and Barb Cerra won the 50/50 drawing.

Door prizes went to Norma Yoho, Barb Cerra, Tom Barbara, Carolyn Shaffer, Nancy Smurda, Jane Barney, Jasper Wamsley, Nial Pashke, Bob Anderson, Mary Salatino, Judy Beltrame, Tom Maxwell, Roberta Burnette, Chris Sklener, Bev Dibaise, Lester Yoho, Jose Cekinovich, John Saxon, Art Chappell, Rita Orler, Jim Orler, Lil Cellini, Nick Rodriguez, Shirley Brecht, Lorraine Hazlett, Alvera Guglielma, Kathryn Hardsouk, Anna Mae Matey and Gina Scopel.

After dinner, members enjoyed cards and bingo.

The next meeting will be held Jan. 15.

The menu will feature vegetable soup, Italian sausage with peppers or chicken parmeasan, baked potato, green beans and dessert.

Members were reminded that dues are due by the end of the month.

Rollback entertains

Gadabouts

At its December meeting at St. Florian Hall, the Gadabouts were entertained by Rollback's David Hunt and Rich Grimm and their selection of dance music which included classic oldies from the 1950s through the 1970s.

John Zak presided and recognized birthdays and anniversaries. Dino Rossi led devotions. Betty Ann Parker won the 50/50 which was conducted by Jenny Avoli and Ron Fallert.

Zak announced that there will be no meeting in January and that all future meetings beginning in February will be changed to the second Wednesday of every month, beginning with Wednesday, Feb. 12. The club will continue to meet at St. Florian Hall except for the July picnic.

Members and wine makers Bill and Elizabeth Shipe donated bottles of wine as the evening's before-dinner wines. A large tray of cookies baked and donated by Evelyn Parise for a drawing was won by Shirley Ohalek. Terry and Laura Mamula conducted the cookie drawing. Zak expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Parise and the Shipes for their donations to the club.

The door prize winners were Ellen Hunt, Barb Cerra, Mary Ann Sadler, Elizabeth Shipe, Betty Wamsley, Frank Wisnieski and Roger Manfresca. The drawing for door prizes, furnished by Paul and Gloria Tripodi, was conducted by Frank and Carol Wisnieski.

Tour Director Regina Truax announced the following 2014 trips:

March 29: Doo Wop Show, Capitol Theater, Wheeling;

May 9-10: Lancaster, Pa., Sight & Sound Theater;

May 12-15: Atlantic City;

May 23-27: New York City guided tours and sight seeing;

June 6: Sugar Creek;

June 11: "Dancing in the Street Doo Wop," Chadwick-Wexford, Pa.; and

June 18-19: Seneca Allegheny Casino;
