Country Friends will host the

Eldurays for Saturday dance

COLLIERS - The Country Friends will host the Eldurays Saturday at Memorial Hall located at 67 Old Police Lodge Road.

The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance starts at 7 p.m.

Country Friends hold covered-dish dinners and open mic nights every Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meal begins at 5 p.m. and open mic begins at 6 p.m.

Country Friends Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Christian friendship and brotherly love through music.

Children's knitting group to meet

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Library's Kid's Knitting Group will meet from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 8.

Children who are in third grade or higher can learn to knit with help from instructor Nora Bell. They should bring yarn and needles or a loom.

Pillow craft offered

WELLSBURG - The Tent Brooke County Community Educational Outreach Service Club will hold a craft class involving a no-tie fleece pillow, at 1 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Brooke County Public Library.

Participants should bring a yard each of fleece in two colors, scissors, a standard size bed pillow and if they attended the previous class, the hole punch and forceps they received then.

Library to show film

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will show the PG-13-rated film, "Jobs," at 1 p.m. Jan. 9.

The film stars Ashton Kutcher as Apple Computers' co-founder Steve Jobs.
