Pollock, Stewart score in double figures to lead Edison over Ferry

RICHMOND - Katelyn Pollock scored 14 points to lead Edison over Martins Ferry on Monday.

Kayli Stewart added 12 points with a 3-pointer and Lynsey Morrison scored eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Malyah Coleman scored 16 points for Martins Ferry (2-7).

Edison hosts Steubenville on Saturday.

Brooke falls to JM

WELLSBURG - Michaela Hinerman scored 13 points in Brooke's losing effort against John Marshall on Monday.

The Bruins (2-5) led 21-13 at halftime, but a strong second half thanks to an array of free throw chances helped lift John Marshall.

Torie Derrow led the Monarchs with 19 points.

Angela Staffileno added 12 points for Brooke, while Christa D'Ulisse scored 10.

The Bruins host University High on Friday.

Wellsville sneaks by Toronto

TORONTO - Three Red Knights scored in double figures, however it wasn't enough to get past Wellsville. The Tigers came away with a 58-55 road victory on Monday.

Malaysia Harrison led Toronto with 14 points, Lindsay Bodnar had 13 and Lexie Berger added 11.

Makayla Bauman scored six points for the Red Knights, who next play Jefferson County Christian on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m.

Wellsville's Brittany Clendenning led all scorers with 21 points and Ashley Bennett finished with 20 points.
