The Brooke High School Paws and Claws service club, which raises money for the Brooke County Animal Shelter, held a food and supplies collection Feb. 10-14. Students brought in cleaning supplies, blankets and towels, dog and cat food, toys, treats and cash donations. Each student who made a donation was entered into a drawing for a stuffed bear, and Ashley Spivey won. The club is selling lollipops to raise funds and will hold a “Guess the Number of Jelly Beans” fundraiser. Club members Isabella Perrone, front, and Adreanne Langley, back, show the items collected. Michelle Wade is the advisor. -- Contributed
