Country Friends set to host
The Eldurays Saturday
COLLIERS - Country Friends will host The Eldurays Saturday at Memorial Hall located at 67 Old Police Lodge Road.
The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance begins at 7 p.m.
Country Friends host covered-dish dinners and open mic nights every Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meal begins at 5 p.m. and open mic begins at 6 p.m.
Country Friends Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Christianity, friendship and brotherly love through music. All proceeds go to charity.

World Day of Prayer announced
WEIRTON - The World Day of Prayer celebration will be observed at 1 p.m. March 7 at the Cove Presbyterian Church located 3404 Main St.
The Egyptian World Day of Prayer Committee developed the theme "Streams in the Desert." World Day of Prayer is an international movement taking place in 170 countries, with the goal of having public group prayers follow the sun across the globe the day of the celebration.
The Weirton Church Women United's first-year delegates will participate in the worship service. President Karen Tate is the coordinator, and Mary Ellen Groves is the music director.
As part of the celebration, those attending will be asked to bring a donation of snack food for the Weirton Christian Center's afterschool program.
A tea will follow the celebration in the church's fellowship hall. The Presbyterian women will host.
Local pastors and the public are invited to attend.
Church to host fashion show
WEIRTON - The First United Methodist Church will host a luncheon and fashion show featuring spring and summer fashions from Phyllis' Fashions of Washington, Pa., March 23 at the church located at West Street and Lee Avenue. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and lunch begins at 1:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available from the church by calling (304) 748-6680 or Judy Pievach at (304) 748-4108.
Dunbar invites speakers
WEIRTON - Dunbar Recreation Center will host the program "United in a Positive Way" at 1:30 p.m. March 16 at the center. Bob Kelley, Duane Jennings and Linda Spencer will speak. The public is invited to attend.
