Seacats holding swim-a-thon
STRATTON, Ohio - The Stratton Seacats Swim Team will hold their annual swim-a-thon Relay for Life from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 9 at the Stratton Indoor Pool.
The team challenges all local swim teams and the public to participate in the event, raising awareness and money for the American Cancer Society. All proceeds will benefit the society.
This year, a Survivor Lap has been added. Anyone who has survived their battle with cancer or is fighting and would like to participate is welcome to do so. Those interested in participating in the survivor lap are asked to send in their name and the times they are available to swim. If someone is unable to swim and would like to walk in the water, or if they not able to be in the water at all, a proxy may take their place or the survivor/fighter can walk the perimeter of the pool.
To register or for information, contact Jennifer Sperry at (740) 317-9837 or visit the Stratton Seacats Swim Team's Facebook page.
