WEIRTON - The Greater Weirton Area Senior Center will hold a dance Thursday with Hank Vincent and the Stone Street Station entertaining.
The doors open at 5 p.m., and the band will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Class of '57 meeting Thursday
WEIRTON - The Weir High School Class of 1957 will hold their monthly class social at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Three Springs Drive Eat'n Park.
All classmates, spouses and friends are welcome.
Moose announces upcoming events
WEIRTON - The Weirton Moose Lodge has announced upcoming events.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, fish dinner. Cost is $7.50.
2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, children's Easter party. Sign up in the lodge.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m., April 11, fish dinner. Cost is $7.50.
3 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 12, spaghetti dinner. Proceeds benefit the Victim's Assistance Board.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 26, craft show. Vendors include Pure Romance, Gold Canyon Candles, Crafts by Chrissy, Origami Owl, Manypenny Chocolates and Highland City Woodworks. The event will include a 50/50 drawing, Chinese auction and disc jockey.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 2, stuffed chicken breasts. Cost is $7.50.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 9, roast beef. Cost is $7.
5 p.m. May 16, wing night. Wings are 60 cents each, minimum order of six.
6 p.m. May 24, night at the races. Horses are $10 each. Admission is $10. Those buying three horses get in free.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 30, fish dinner. Cost is $7.50.
The lodge is offering a $1,000 scholarship for children or grandchildren of lodge members or Chapter 746 members. Ask at the lodge for details.
Cup of Life holding coffee house
WEIRTON - Cup of Life Ministries will hold the monthly Christian Women's Coffee House at 6 p.m. Friday at Marland Heights Community Church located at 3900 Bright Way.
The event begins with complimentary sandwiches, beverages and desserts, followed by worship and music at 7 p.m. and a lesson with Bible teacher Tina Schoolcraft.
Free babysitting will be available for those children in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade.
Department holding quarter auction
RICHMOND, Ohio - The Richmond Volunteer Fire Department will host a quarter auction Saturday at the fire hall located on state Route 152.
Doors open at noon, and the auction begins at 1 p.m.
Admission and a paddle is $5 and extra paddles are $2.
The event will include concessions, drawings and a 50/50 drawing. There will be 20 area vendors and crafters participating.
Senior center holding cash bash
WEIRTON - The Greater Weirton Area Senior Center will hold a bingo cash bash Sunday at the center located at 3425 Main St.
The doors open at 11:30 a.m., and early birds start at 12:30 p.m.
There are $1,000 cover-all tickets still available. Tickets are $40.

Alumni invited to tour schools
Hancock County Schools invites alumni and the public to tour Broadview, Liberty and Weirton Heights elementary schools from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The three schools will close in June and be demolished in the fall, as the new Weirton Elementary School will open for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Weirton Heights was built in 1925, Liberty in 1939 and Broadview in 1954. The public is invited to walk through the buildings, take pictures, visit their old classroom and bring pictures of their own to share.
Tri-State Writers to meet April 8
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - The Tri-State Writers Society, led by award-winning local author Karen Majoris Garrison, will meet at 6 p.m. April 8 at the Schiappa Branch of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County's conference room located on Mall Drive.
Published and aspiring writers of all genres are welcome.
