WESTLAKE, William C. "Bill," 87, of Weirton, WV, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Life Line Hospital.
He was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Toronto, OH, a son of the late Sheldon and Beulah Cooper Westlake.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge 583 and Weirton Steel 25-Year Club.
He retired in 1990 from Weirton Steel as a turn foreman in the BOP. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force during WW II as an engineer on a B-26. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Bland Hunting Club. He was an avid Steeler Fan.
Preceding Bill in death were his brother, Bob Westlake; and two sisters, Marie Westlake and Carrie Gillis.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Eleanor Gaylord Westlake; daughter, Pam Westlake Richardson of Steubenville, OH; son, Billy Westlake of Cranberry Twp., PA; four grandchildren, Sam (Brandy) Richardson of Steubenville, OH, Bruce Richardson of Steubenville, OH, Patrick Westlake of Cranberry Twp., PA and Michael Westlake of Cranberry Twp., PA; great-grandchild, Talan Richardson of Steubenville, OH; and sister, Judy Bates of Wooster, OH.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Saturday 2-5 p.m. where a service will be held Sunday 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Conrad officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
