STEUBENVILLE - Join the ONE All Stars Cheerleaders from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in center court at the Fort Steuben Mall for their school spirit fashion show. ONE Cheerleaders will be modeling customizable apparel and accessories and taking orders, as well as giving away prizes.
Everyone who makes a purchase will be entered to win one year of free tumbling lessons at ONE gym or a warm-up of his or her choice. All proceeds will go to the buyer's designated ONE cheerleader or the general organization stated upon checking out. All items will be ordered to fit.
Also Saturday, there will be free inflatables and games from Kurt James Fun & Games in the J.C. Penney Court from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sears will hold its Friends and Family Sale in the store. Everyone gets an extra 5 percent to 15 percent off, or Shop Your Way members can choose to get between 10 percent to 25 percent back in rewards points.
The back-to-school gift with purchase will begin Monday and run through Aug. 25. For every $100 spent in at least three mall stores, patrons will receive a $5 Fort Steuben Mall gift card. There is a limit of four $5 gift cards to be given out per person per day. For details, see the customer service center.
The mall's Back-To-School Fashion Show is planned for Aug. 23 in center court beginning at noon and will feature fashions from participating mall stores.
WCDK-FM's second-annual pigskin preview will be held that day at center court from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Booster representatives from area schools will compete in the best booth contest for a $500 or $250 cash prize, courtesy of the mall.
Schools scheduled to participate include Brooke, Buckeye Local, Carrollton, Catholic Central, Indian Creek, Steubenville, Toronto and Weir. There will be a bake sale to benefit Samba Select soccer players, and Macy's will hold its Shop for a Cause event.
On Aug. 24, children's book author Connie Randolph will be near center court to sign copies of her newest book in the "Casper Joe" series.
